This Privacy Policy describes how we handle the Personal Information that we collect through this website/online portal, the software applications made available by us for use on or through computers and mobile devices, our social media pages set forth in the links in the header on https://www.delta-ins.com (our “Social Media Pages”) (collectively, including the Site, the Apps and our Social Media Pages, referred to as the “Delta  On-line Services”); and other means (for example, from your application and claim forms, telephone calls, e-mails and other communications with us, as well as from claim investigators, medical professionals, witnesses or other third parties involved in our business dealings with you).

This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Data we collect and how we use, disclose, and protect such data. Delta Insurance respects and values your privacy and works hard to protect your information and put you in control. 

Delta Insurance may, from time to time, update this Privacy Policy. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post or link to the revised Privacy Policy on the website. 

You do not have to provide us with an Personal Data to visit the website. However, if you choose to log in to the “Delta Care” section of the website, complete online forms, or request quotations or assistance, you may be asked to provide your data.

We collect the following Data:

General identification and contact information: Your name; address; e-mail and telephone details; gender; marital status; family status; date of birth; passwords on our systems; educational background; physical attributes; employment history.

Identification numbers issued by government bodies or agencies: national number, social security; passport number; tax identification number; driver’s or other license numbers, etc.

Medical condition and health status: Current or former physical or mental or medical condition; health status; injury or disability information; medical procedures performed; personal habits (for example, smoking or consumption of alcohol); prescription information; and medical history.

Telephone recordings: Recordings of telephone calls to our representatives and call centres.

Information to investigate or prevent crime, including fraud and money laundering. For example, insurers commonly share information about their previous dealings with policyholders and claimants for this purpose.

Information enabling us to provide products and services: Location and identification of property insured (for example, property address, vehicle license plate, or identification number); travel plans; age categories of individuals you wish to insure; policy and claim numbers; coverage/peril details; cause of loss; prior accident or loss history; your status as director or partner, or other ownership or management interest in an organization; other insurance you hold; and details on products for which you have or seek a warranty.

Social media account and information from Apps: We may receive certain Personal Information about you when you use our Apps or Social Media Pages, including your social media account ID and profile picture. If you elect to connect any of your other social media accounts to your account(s) on the Delta On-line Services, Personal Information from your other social media account(s) will be shared with us, which may include Personal Information that is part of your profile relating to those accounts or your friends’ profiles.

Information from Other Sources: We and our service providers may supplement the Personal Information we collect with information from other sources, such as publicly available information from social media services, commercially available sources and information from our affiliates or business partners.

• To provide information to representatives and advisors, including attorneys and accountants, to help us comply with legal, accounting, or security requirements in reliance on our legitimate interests
• To prosecute and defend a court, arbitration, or similar legal proceeding

Monitoring Data and aggregated Data: Delta Insurance and its service providers may collect and/ or track other information, such as demographic information, domain names, and other statistical data involving the use of the website. We use Monitoring Data to help us understand who uses the website and to improve and market it, as well as our other websites and services. Unless combined with Personal Data, Monitoring Data does not personally identify you or any other user, and we may use it for any purpose.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect data while you are using our websites, mobile app(s), when you receive/ open/ respond to emails we send to you, social networks and other technology providers (for instance, when you click on one of our Facebook or Google ads). Delta Insurance uses cookies and Tools to understand how the Website is used and to customize and enhance the Internet experience of individual users. Your IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to the computer that you are using by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). This number is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you visit the website, along with the time(s) of your visit(s) and the page(s) that you visited. Delta Insurance has no control over, and is not responsible for, a Payment Service's use of information collected through a Payment Service page. If you request to review, correct, update your Personal Data previously provided to us, you may make a request to the Client Relations team or by logging in to the "Delta Care" section; We may need to verify your identity before implementing your request for your protection. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable and consistent with applicable law. Please note that we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes and/ or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting the change or deletion. 

The Website may contain links to other websites, including social media sites and third-party-hosted collaboration tools. These linked sites are not under our  control. We provide links only as a convenience, and Delta Insurance does not endorse or control, and is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these linked sites. If you provide any Personal Data through any third-party website, or choose to communicate with us using third-party collaboration tools or other social media platforms, your transaction will occur on that third party's website and the Personal Data you provide will be collected by, and controlled by the privacy policy of, that third party. Delta Insurance has established reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect Personal Data within our organization from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. Please note that while Delta Insurance has endeavored to create a secure and reliable website for users, no website is 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of any account you might have with us has been compromised), please notify us of the problem immediately by contacting the Client Relations team.

Delta Insurance will use Personal Data only in ways compatible with the purposes for which it was collected. Delta Insurance will take reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Data is relevant to its intended use and is accurate, complete, and current (as provided by you). Delta Insurance depends on you to update or correct your Personal Data whenever necessary.

We will keep your personal information as long as you are our customer.

We may keep your data for up to 10 years after you stop being a customer. The reasons we may do this are:

• To respond to a question or complaint, or to show whether we gave you fair treatment
• To study customer data as part of our own internal research
